We are thrilled to announce Cudelice Brazelton IV participation at Manifesta 16 Ruhr.
Manifesta 16 takes place from the 21st of June until the 4th of October 2026 across four cities in Germany’s Ruhr Area: Duisburg, Essen, Gelsenkirchen and Bochum. Based on pre-biennial investigations and Citizen Consultations, Manifesta 16 has developed an Urban Vision for this polycentric, post-industrial and highly diverse metropolitan region. The nomadic biennial will transform twelve abandoned post-war church buildings into communal spaces that foster dialogue, community cohesion and artistic innovation.
Wschód is pleased to announce its participation in the third edition of Constellations Warsaw, for which it has invited Max Mayer gallery from Berlin.
Built on a gallery-share model, the event brings together local and international galleries and artists, creating space for exchange, new encounters, and shared audiences. Each collaboration opens fresh perspectives and sparks dialogue across Warsaw’s contemporary art scene.
Constellations Warsaw takes place from April 10 to 12, 2026.
Galeria Wschód is pleased to announce representation of Antonia Brown (b. 1989, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa).
Antonia Brown’s practice develops through sculpture, writing and film. In her immersive material technique, she reformulates and renegotiates the means of affective reproduction. Brown’s works embody a tension with familial and collective histories tying into feminist critique of gender, voice, and presence. Her practice subverts and problematises violent logic of the pastoral through the insertion of inconsistencies and misinterpretations, which she takes on as form of refusal.
Artist’s first solo exhibition with the gallery opens in early July 2026.
For the first edition of ENZO, Galeria Wschód is pleased to present new paintings by LA-based artist Radek Szlaga.

Kamil Dossar is presenting Silk Examples at Wschód Warsaw. Dossar’s artistic output—films, paintings, and collages—builds chains of association often employing pop cultural references, animation, and avatars to ponder systemic images of migration, state craft, and outcast, invisible identities.

Cezary Poniatowski is presenting Pharmakon during Warsaw Gallery Weekend at Wschód, Warsaw. Poniatowski’s solo exhibition revolves around the ancient concept of pharmakon and its multilayered historical and cultural references. The artist creates reliefs using carpets, metal zip ties, ventilation elements, and other materials. The objects are hollow inside, sewn together, with the underside of the carpet turned outward, while the familiar surface remains hidden.

Jan Domicz presents a screening and installation Two Works with a Vertical Structure at Wschód, Warsaw. Two works will be shown, both constructed in an almost identical way—through a vertical shift; one is ten years old, while the other was created just a few months ago.
The presentation is on view from September 11 to 13, 2025.
Adam Shiu-Yang Shaw is presenting Instrument Clustera at Wschód, Warsaw. The solo exhibition responds to this sense of visual and procedural entanglement through a series of fragmentary maquettes. Employing a combinatorial approach to model-making, these works integrate elements of industrial architecture, vehicles, and the auxiliary frameworks around bitumen mining, into patchwork assemblages.

Anton Munar presents My Father Through My Grandfather’s Eyes at Wschód, Warsaw. The exhibition gathers recent paintings coupled with archival photographs from the artist’s family collection. All photographs capture the artist’s father and were taken by his grandfather between 1972 – 1978.

Kenji Ide is presenting Some Other Times during Warsaw Gallery Weekend at the Władysław Broniewski Museum, in collaboration with Galeria Wschód. What each time has in common is that they were all seen in one’s own time, that is, in a kind of solitude and freedom.

Cudelice Brazelton IV is presenting Mortal surface at Kunsthalle Lingen. Onsen Confidential features works by Emily Peacock, Julie DeVries, Steven Evans, Cezary Poniatowski, Piotr Janas, Mikołaj Moskal, Kazuki Matsushita, Michi Suwa and Noriko Kamikubo at Kayokoyuki, Tokyo. Onsen Confidential is a hybrid city-wide gallery share and natural hot spring retreat / conference. The project is meant to bring together like-minded gallerists in a spirit of collaboration and cooperation and to provide a friendly introduction to the unique context of the contemporary art world of Tokyo. Wschód together with Jonathan Hopson (Huston, US) is hosted by KAYOKOYUKI.

Karolina Bielawska is presenting Connective Tissue during Warsaw Gallery Weekend at Wschód Warsaw. The artist prepared a pair of large-scale painting compositions – one nestled on the floor, the other hanging from the gallery ceiling – both formed of seven canvases, themselves independent (and interdependent) works.
