Programmed by curator and writer Krzysztof Kosciuczuk, Black Box New York – over the course of the year 2023/2024 – examined, reconfigured, and challenged the theme of nature within the context of urban reality as well as the ways it is construed, inhabited, and repurposed. It redrawn the lines that cut across the natural and human-made, reconsidering the genre of “nature documentary” as a practice based on a seemingly detached observation of the non-human.

From late 2024 The Black Box New York has been running independently as part of the gallery program.
The Black Box Warsaw is the space for film, sound and wider mixed media experimentations.
